TUMBLING TEARDROPS
By Carl Martin Johnson
Tumbling teardrops told
A heart was being broken.
I saw a tragedy unfold
With no hard word spoken.
So let me be your man.
My heart has room for you.
I will cherish all I can
If you want me to.
My heart has space for many.
Each in rapture quite complete.
I’ll not reject any
Who want our hearts to meet.
All of us are one.
All love we must share.
Together, not undone,
In each other’s care.

COME DRINK MY WINE
By Carl Martin Johnson
Come, girl, drink my wine.
Take sweet loving sips.
Our smooth bodies intertwined,
The nectar spilling from your lips.
Let it intoxicate you,
Cast inhibitions to the wind.
I will celebrate you.
None can say we’ve sinned.
And we’ll oft our cup refill
With the vintage of our passion.
We will never use it up.
There is no need to ration.
It will flow freely through our veins
Into our body and our soul.
Making pleasure of our pains,
Letting ardor take control.
Lustful loving taste
There is no better flavor
No drop will we waste.
Come now, let us savor.

A POET FOR YOUR LOVER
By Carl Martin Johnson
If you’ve a poet for your lover,
You’ve a great fool for your man.
Run quickly! Run for cover!
Leave him while you can.

I TOUCH YOU
By Carl Martin Johnson
I touch you with my fingertips,
Run softly down your spine,
My searching tongue between your lips,
The more to make you mine.
You rake my chest with tigress claws,
Like a big cat with her prey.
Our love is ruled by jungle laws,
Wild animals at play.
Your gypsy blood is liquid fire
Your flesh burning in my hands.
We are driven by primal desire
We are slaves to its commands.
Our eyes betray our lust
Before our loins can meet.
Our hearts are filled with trust
That our union be complete.

WILL YOU STOP THE RAIN
By Carl Martin Johnson
Who will stop the rain,
Should rain begin to fall?
Who will ease my pain?
Who will heed my call?
Who will bring the sun?
Part the clouds to let it shine?
Who will get that done?
Make the rainbow mine?
Wind, carry my plea.
Find a loving ear.
One who cares for me.
One who’ll hold me dear.

ROMANCING LIFE
By Carl Martin Johnson
Life, come now and tempt me.
Let me embrace your fire.
From no sin exempt me.
It’s your lust that I desire.
I seek no wages I’m not due,
No happiness unearned.
Yet for wild romance with you,
I will risk being burned.
Take me in your arms.
Teach me how to live.
Show me your sweet charms.
I want all you have to give.

FADING BEAUTY
By Carl Martin Johnson
Youthful beauty cannot endure.
It was not made to last.
It is your soul that will hold pure
When the mirror’s allure has passed.
Enjoy your present, use it well.
Let your bloom attract the bees.
Flaunt what you have to sell.
Drive the young men to their knees.
Soon time will come to meet you,
Paint your face with living’s lines.
Younger beauties will unseat you.
Yet, you’ll age well, like the best of wines.
They will see, who are worthwhile
The warm beauty of your soul,
And the radiance of your smile.
Those time does not control.

YOUR TREMBLING BODY
By Carl Martin Johnson
I feel your body trembling hot,
Burning with desire.
Your breasts willing, firm and taught.
You burn me with your fire.
Your claws rake down my back,
Slicing lines of scarlet.
Like a tigress on attack,
A hungry, raging harlot.
Soon your lust I’ll sate,
Cool your fiery heat.
Like animals we’ll mate,
Making our love complete.

HEARTSTRINGS
By Carl Martin Johnson
Pluck gently at my heartstrings.
Play softly with my heart.
I know the grief that love brings.
Perhaps best not to start.

TO SEE YOU
By Carl Martin Johnson
I close my eyes to see you.
Discover the you that’s real.
Only then does my mind free you
Finding the beauty you conceal.
Eyes wide I lack the power
To look past your lovely skin,
Unfold the petals of the flower
That holds the grace within.
I must use my soul’s senses.
My body’s are too weak
To breach crude matter’s fences
And find the you I seek.

WILD ROSES
By Carl Martin Johnson
Roses in wild places grow,
Bringing beauty to hard land.
Soft petals in barren spaces show
The fine work of God’s hand.
Love can bloom in hearts of stone,
Bursting through unfeeling crust.
Humans cannot live alone.
We love because we must.

DID I CAUSE THAT TEAR
By Carl Martin Johnson
Did I cause that tear
By a careless word or deed,
You, whom I hold dear,
Whose sweet love I need?
If so, I beg your pardon.
Forgive me, if you can.
Don’t let your feelings harden.
After all, I’m just a man.

WITH MY VERSES I'LL SEDUCE YOU
By Carl Martin Johnson
With my verses I’ll seduce you,
Both your body and your soul.
But our Father will excuse you.
It was He gave me control.

COME WITH ME INTO MY DREAMS
By Carl Martin Johnson
Come with me now into my dreams.
Hold your body close to mine.
I will wash you with moonbeams.
I will worship at your shrine.
Two into one we’ll melt,
Our hearts and souls as one.
Greater love than ever felt
Will be what we’ve begun.

THE BUTTON
By Carl Martin Johnson
Her blue eyes squeezed and squinted
As she focused on her task.
It was not work she resented.
He had never had to ask.
Her needle’s aim was true,
Slipping through the buttonhole.
It was a pleasant thing to do,
Because to please him was her goal.
She crossed the thread to hold,
Every stitch a loving touch.
A love verse tender told.
Her heart recalled so much.
She raised the shirt to see
If she had done her work neatly.
It was as perfect as could be,
She thought to herself sweetly.
She glanced at a black-rimmed frame
Around a strong and handsome man.
And before she knew it came,
Down her cheek a teardrop ran.
With slow and tender care
She undid the thread.
Her husband was not there,
But she could see him in her head.
Time and time again
She would sew the button on
And continue to pretend
He was not really gone.

DEVIL WALKING
By Carl Martin Johnson
Here comes the Devil walking,
Using woman as disguise.
Men’s souls like mine she’s stalking.
I see it in her eyes.
She will find me easy prey.
I can’t resist her charms.
I will not run away.
Lust drives me to her arms.
My soul to her is lost.
But I’ll sadly pay the price.
The Devil sets the cost
I’ll not bargain for the vice.
I will be damned to Hell.
But pity you must spare.
‘Twill be by passion that I fell.
So I’ll be happy there.

MY LIPS WILL GIVE YOU PLEASURE
By Carl Martin Johnson
My lips will give you pleasure,
Whisper love words in your ear.
Excite passion without measure,
And make you love me dear.

LOVE AND COLD
By Carl Martin Johnson
The cold wraps tight around me,
But it cannot reach my heart.
The icy tentacles that have found me
Won’t force Love’s shield apart.
Icy wind slaps my face,
Yet cannot dim my smile.
The thought of your embrace
Will warm me a long while.
My blood is lava flowing.
Winter’s freeze cannot chill it.
Your love will keep it glowing.
No arctic blast can chill it.
It is love that lights Life’s fire.
While it stays so will the flame,
Heating passion and desire.
Love and Life are both the same.

SWEET SILENCE
By Carl Martin Johnson
Sweet Silence, I can hear you.
Tell me all you know.
I feel Truth is near you.
If I listen, I will grow.
I kiss your soft still lips.
As we touch I’m lost in wonder.
I taste your knowing as it drips.
Unseen lightning, unheard thunder.

TO BE ALONE
By Carl Martin Johnson
It’s better, I think, to be alone,
Than to be with you and lonely.
You are the best love I have known,
But I am not your only.
In another you confide.
He knows secrets kept from me.
The care for him you hide,
Yet the affection I can see.
Still, I will bear the sorrow
As long as my heart can.
I’ll hang on ‘til tomorrow,
Try to forget the other man.

TOGETHER FOR ETERNITY
By Carl Martin Johnson
I am you and you are me.
Together we are one.
Now we own eternity
We cannot be undone.

SOMEONE TO HOLD ME
By Carl Martin Johnson
I need someone to hold me,
To take me in her arms,
With her love enfold me,
Make me feel her charms.
She’ll soothe me when I’m lonely,
Warm me when I’m cold,
She’ll say she loves me only.
Together we’ll grow old.
I’ll love strong in return.
I will be true and caring.
Every gentle kiss I’ll earn.
And all my life be sharing.

What has passed is past.
Of all I have begun,
Only memories will last.

GET BACK TEMPTATION
By Carl Martin Johnson
Get back Temptation.
I’m too tired to fight
The sins of your creation
With these women of the night.
I’m just a lonely man
A long, long way from home,
Taking comfort where I can,
Like all of us who roam.
God knows I am weak.
My flesh overrules my soul.
Temptation knows what I seek.
Lord help me keep control.

I AM SIN
By Carl Martin Johnson
Running in the shadows deep,
Hiding behind the wall.
I can find you in my sleep.
You can’t see me at all.
I will tempt and then seduce you.
I will lead you to destruction.
My grasp will never loose you.
You will lust for my instruction.
Fight me if you will,
I’ll still know that you enjoy me.
You can’t resist my thrill.
You will not destroy me.
I will take you down to Hell,
Though you’ll enjoy the ride.
You may not be glad you fell,
But there’ll be no pleasure you’ve not tried.

IF YOUR SOUL UNITES WITH MINE
By Carl Martin Johnson
If your soul unites with mine,
What being will we breed?
Will it be closer to divine?
More fitting to God’s need?

I SEE YOU IN THE DAWN
By Carl Martin Johnson
I will see you in the dawn.
You will not go away.
Our love will carry on,
Though your body cannot stay.
Our spirits are united.
That love will endure.
What mortal passion has united,
Remains immortal pure.
Wait for me where you are,
In God’s special lovers’ place.
We will dwell on a bright star
In eternal soul embrace.

IN THE GLOW OF DAWN
By Carl Martin Johnson
I see you in the glow of dawn,
Smell the perfume of your breath.
Our true love still carries on.
Too strong to end with death.
Wait there for me on a star.
I’ll try not to be long.
My heart is always where you are.
Our souls sing Life’s sweet song.
